Benedictine College Baseball Defeats Westcliff
The Benedictine College baseball team defeated Westcliff 9-8 and 10-4 in their first conference games of the season on Saturday. The Ravens improved to 4-2 overall and 2-0 in the California Pacific Conference.
Strong Pitching Performance
The Ravens received strong pitching performances from senior right-hander Justin Garcia and junior left-hander Ryan Thomas. Garcia started the first game and allowed one run on four hits in five innings. Thomas started the second game and allowed three runs on five hits in five innings.
The Benedictine offense was led by senior outfielder Dylan Becker, who went 3-for-4 with two RBIs in the first game. Sophomore infielder Jake Turek went 3-for-4 with two RBIs in the second game.
The Ravens will return to action on Tuesday when they host Ottawa University at 3 p.m.
